Alameda's City Attorney is one of just a few in California with the authority to prosecute crimes and I supported expanding prosecution to include crimes of domestic violence and to hire a victim advocate.
In March 2025 my colleagues voted in support of my initiative to establish red light cameras at certain intersections, making streets safer for pedestrians and bicyclists.
To ensure safety at outdoor celebrations like Christmas Tree Lane, I led the establishment of Alameda's first vendor ordinance.
